You might be asking yourself "are these people stupid?" 

The answer is "yes," but not because they can't see what you're seeing. They're well aware of the destruction and violence. They see the smoke from the burning cars and the violence being done against police. It's not lost on them that what's happening is pure chaos and criminality. 

They're dumb because they think this same mob consuming LA won't eventually eat them too. They're feeding the monster, thinking it will grant them loyalty, but ultimately, it will only push off their eventual consumption for a little while longer. 

So why do this? 

As I've stated many times before, you have to understand that violence and destruction is actually useful for Democrats.

The truth is, the chaos serves a purpose that keeps their power well established and their narratives circulating. 

For starters, we can look at the "we were doing fine before Trump's troops showed up." 

This is an obvious lie. ICE agents were under siege, and California politicians were practically giddy about it; thus, these riots spun out of control. Trump needed to call in backup for them to make sure they were kept safe as they did their jobs. However, this allowed the Democrats to pretend like Trump only made things worse, despite the fact that they were pretty bad already. 

They can now try to point to the Trump administration as the real villain of the story, making him out to be the destabilizer of peace. 

Then there's the "mostly peaceful" narrative. This serves a dual purpose. 

For one, it makes law enforcement seem like they're overreacting, painting a police state picture for the base to rise up against, but it's also a nod to the base to send the message that they're actually sympathetic to the rioters. Toxicity starts at the top, and when Democrat politicians are sending the message that they're "on their side," then it only encourages more destruction and mayhem. 

This violence, especially violence done against police officers with little to no repercussion, sends a terrifying message to everyone: "We own this place, and if you're not with us, you better shut up and sit down, or you're next." 

Normal, law-abiding people are terrified of lawlessness, and when lawlessness becomes the law, normal people tend to keep their heads down. They don't speak out. They don't show up to city council or school board meetings. They watch their voices in public. They even start to feign support in order to avoid confrontation. 

In this way, control is established through intimidation, complacency, and psychological warfare. Chaos is a feature, not a bug, and one that actually feeds them power despite the fact that it feels like it should rightfully not give them anything but a bad reputation and zero credibility. 

To you and me, that's the case, but to the locals where they run for office, the feeling on the ground is a bit different. 

This is all according to plan... for now. They're intentionally motivating retaliation because it serves so many purposes. What you see as dramatics from Democrats is just as utility-based as it is performative.

It's something that shows they're willing to use any kind of manipulation they can to motivate the emotional, and suppress everyone else.
